Tokyo Olympics: ‘সোনার ছেলে’ নীরজের প্রশংসায় পঞ্চমুখ গোটা India, টুইট রাষ্ট্রপতি-প্রধানমন্ত্রীর

সংবাদ প্রতিদিন ডিজিটাল ডেস্ক: অলিম্পিকের (Tokyo Olympics) ইতিহাসে অ্যাথলেটিক্সে দেশকে প্রথম সোনা এনে দিয়েছেন নীরজ চোপড়া (Neeraj Chopra)। ফাইনালে প্রথম দুই থ্রোয়েই প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বীদের অনেকটাই পিছনে ফেলে দিয়েছিলেন নীরজ। তারপর স্রেফ সময়ের অপেক্ষা। শেষপর্যন্ত অবশ্য বাকি প্রতিযোগীদের পিছনে ফেলে দেশকে সোনা উপহার দিলেন ভারতীয় সেনার জওয়ান। আর এরপর গোটা দেশ থেকে শুভেচ্ছার বন্যায় ভাসছেন তিনি।

ইতিমধ্যে নীরজকে শুভেচ্ছা জানিয়ে টুইট করেছেন রাষ্ট্রপতি রামনাথ কোবিন্দ (President Ramnath Kovind), প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদি (PM Narendra Modi)। টুইটে শুভেচ্ছা জানিয়েছেন বাংলার মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ও (Cm Mamata Banerjee)। রাষ্ট্রপতি রামনাথ কোবিন্দ লিখেছেন, “নীরজ চোপড়া দুরন্ত জয় পেয়েছেন। জ্যাভলিনে তোমার সোনা সমস্ত প্রতিবন্ধকতাকে ভেঙে দিয়ে ইতিহাস তৈরি করেছে। নিজের প্রথম অলিম্পিকেই দেশকে অ্যাথলেটিক্সে পদক এনে দিয়েছ তুমি। তোমার এই সাফল্য গোটা দেশের তরুণ প্রজন্মকে উদ্বুদ্ধ করবে। অনেক অভিনন্দন।”

এদিকে, প্রধানমন্ত্রী মোদি নীরজের জয়ে উচ্ছ্বসিত হয়ে লিখেছেন, “টোকিওতে (Tokyo Olympics) ইতিহাস লেখা হল। নীরজ আজ যে সাফল্য পেল তা সারাজীবন মনে রাখার মতো। তরুণ নীরজ দুরন্ত পারফর্ম করেছে। টোকিওতে সোনা জেতার জন্য অনেক অভিনন্দন।” বাংলার মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় বলেন, “ইতিহাস তৈরি হল। অলিম্পিকে সোনা জেতার জন্য জ্যাভলিন থ্রোয়ার নীরজের জন্য খুব গর্বিত। আজ গোটা দেশ তাঁর এই সাফল্যে খুশি। অনেক অনেক অভিনন্দন।” এছাড়া রাজনৈতিক নেতা থেকে শুরু করে ক্রীড়াদুনিয়া, বলিউড-টলিউডের তারকারাও নীরজকে শুভেচ্ছা জানাতে ভোলেননি। এছাড়া হরিয়ানা সরকার থেকে শুরু করে কেন্দ্র প্রত্যেকেই নীরজের জন্য পুরস্কারও ঘোষণ করেছে। এছাড়া আনন্দ মহিন্দ্রাও তাঁকে একটি গাড়ি উপহার দেওয়ার কথা ঘোষণা করেছেন। বিসিসিআইয়ের পক্ষ থেকেও নীরজকে ১ কোটি টাকা পুরস্কার দেওয়ার কথা ঘোষণা করা হয়েছে।
