When people play poker<\/a>, the way they play can be defined as their 'playing style<\/strong>'. Some people are actively trying to play a certain style but some players, usually weaker ones, are playing a certain style without realizing it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We'll be looking at the different types of poker players<\/strong> we'll face at the table and how we can beat them.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

What Are The Four Poker Playing Styles?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The four poker playing styles<\/strong> are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Loose Aggressive (LAG)<\/a><\/li>
  2. Tight Aggressive (TAG)<\/a><\/li>
  3. Loose Aggressive (Calling Station)<\/a><\/li>
  4. Tight Passive (Rock)<\/a><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    In Texas Hold'em poker, playing styles are defined by the range of starting hands<\/a> they play preflop<\/a><\/strong> and how aggressively they are played post-flop<\/strong>. Every poker player that you will come across can be plotted somewhere on the chart below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
