সময়ের সঙ্গে সঙ্গে আরও প্রাণঘাতী হয়ে উঠছে নোভেল করোনা ভাইরাস। ক্রমশ আয়ত্তের বাইরে চলে যাচ্ছে পরিস্থিতি। মারণ জীবাণু প্রাণ কেড়েছে বিশ্বের লক্ষাধিক মানুষের। মার্কিন মুলুকে করোনার ভয়াবহতা চিন, ইটালিকেও ছাপিয়ে গিয়েছে। ভারতেও অব্যাহত করোনা ভাইরাসের দাপট। দেশে মৃতের সংখ্যা ৩৯২। আক্রান্ত ১১,৯৩৩ জন। অ্যাকটিভ কেস ১০,১৯৭। সুস্থ হয়েছেন ১৩৪৪ জন। এদিকে, পশ্চিমবঙ্গে আক্রান্ত বেড়ে ১৩২। স্বাস্থ্য দপ্তরের রিপোর্ট অনুযায়ী, বুধবার পর্যন্ত মৃত্যু হয়েছে ৭ জনের। পরিস্থিতি সামাল দিতে গোটা দেশে ৩ মে পর্যন্ত বাড়ানো হয়েছে লকডাউনের সময়সীমা। স্পর্শকাতর এলাকাগুলি চিহ্নিত করে সিল করার পদক্ষেপ করছে প্রশাসন। মহারাষ্ট্র, দিল্লি, গুজরাটের পর পশ্চিমবঙ্গেও বাড়ির বাইরে মাস্ক বাধ্যতামূলক করা হয়েছে। করোনা সংক্রান্ত সমস্ত আপডেট:

রাত ১০.০০: কলকাতা-সহ দেশের ছয় মেট্রো শহরকে ‘রেড জোন’-এ রাখল স্বাস্থ্যমন্ত্রক। এর মধ্যে রয়েছে দিল্লি, মু্ম্বই, কলকাতা, চেন্নাই, হায়দরাবাদ ও বেঙ্গালুরু। দেশের মোট আক্রান্তদের মধ্যে ৮০ শতাংশ সংক্রামিত  এই ছয় শহরে রয়েছেন বলে দাবি স্বাস্থ্যমন্ত্রকের। 

রাত ৯.৪৫: জামিয়া মিলিয়া বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে ভরতির অনলাইন ফর্ম ফিলাপের তারিখ বেড়ে দাঁড়াল ৪ মে।

রাত ৯.৩০: দিল্লিতে আটকে থাকা ভিনরাজ্যের শ্রমিকদের অবস্থা খতিয়ে দেখতে ১০ জন আধিকারিককে নিয়োগ করল কেজরিওয়াল সরকার।

রাত ৮.৪০: ট্রেন চলাচল নিয়ে ভুয়ো রিপোর্ট দেওয়ার অভিযোগ উঠেছিল এক মারাঠি সংবাদ মাধ্যমের সাংবাদিকের বিরুদ্ধে। সেই রিপোর্চের জেরে বান্দ্রা স্টেশনে কয়েক শো শ্রমিক জড়ো হয়ছিলেন মঙ্গলবার। এই ঘটনায় সেই সাংবাদিককে গ্রেপ্তার করল মুম্বই পুলিশ। এর আগে প্ররোচনা দেওয়ার অভিযোগে এক শ্রমিক নেতাকে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়েছিল। 

রাত ৮.৩০: তামিলনাড়ুতে সাংবাদিকের মৃত্যু। তিনি করোনায় আক্রান্ত হননি, বরং ডেঙ্গুতে আক্রান্ত হয়ে তাঁর মৃত্যু হয়েছে।

রাত ৮.০০: হিমাচল প্রদেশে করোনায় আক্রান্ত হয়েছেন এক সাংবাদিক।
